On May 20, 2014, after the opening ceremony of the Harmonious Asia International Exhibition of Works by Artist for Peace (hereinafter, the Exhibition), the International Exchange Office, the Youth League Committee, and the School of Foreign Languages of SHUPL organized over 100 youth volunteers to accompany more than 80 artists who attended the Exhibition for the tour to Zhu Jia Jiao. These volunteers also participated in the preparation for the following cultural exchanges at SHUPL.

The Exhibition was one of the important activities on the eve of the fourth CICA (i.e., the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia) Summit in Shanghai. It was jointly hosted by Beijing Peace Tour Cultural Exchange Center and China International Culture Association.

On the morning of May 20, the artists were accompanied by the youth volunteers from SHUPL to Zhu Jia Jiao for sightseeing. There, the volunteers introduced the basic information of this ancient town for the artists. Meanwhile, they served as translators for the communication between the artists and the tourists.

On the afternoon of May 20, the assistant principal and the director of the International Exchange Office Prof. Wang Wei, and the deputy director of the International Exchange Office Associate Prof. Chen Xiao welcomed the arrival of the artists in the Multifunction Hall at the Staff Activities Center. Then, the artists participated in diversified activities of artistic exchanges.
